Danielle Dubois, 36, and Christopher Massey, 36, both of Torrington, were killed during a crash with a pickup truck and a small van, that took place around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 in the area of Goshen Road and University Drive, said the Torrington Police Department.

An initial on-scene investigation indicated the motorcycle was traveling east on Goshen Road and crossed the center double yellow line in the area of University Drive, police said.

The pickup truck, traveling west on Goshen Road, took evasive action but the motorcycle still struck the rear quarter panel of the truck. The motorcycle then lost control and struck a small van that was also traveling west on Goshen Road head-on, police added.

At that time, both Dubois and Massey were ejected and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck and his passenger were not injured. The operator of the van was also not injured.

Both drivers are cooperating with police at this time and there is no suspicion of driver impairment, police said.

The department's accident is still actively investigating who was operating the motorcycle at the time of the crash. Anyone with information concerning the crash is to call Officer Kevin Albert of the Torrington Police Department at 860-489-2090.
